A half-section of land vegetation fire in the Otay Mountain Wild was halted Sunday by Cal Fire San Diego firemen who were dropped in to the scene by helicopter.
The fire, revealed not long after 2 p.m. in the Butewick Gorge region in Dulzura, was supposed to be distant by ground units, as per Cal Fire.
